2020 All Saints Day and All Souls Day at Our Saviour Parish

In your hands, O Lord,
we humbly entrust our brothers and sisters.
In this life you embraced them with your tender love;
deliver them now from every evil
and give them eternal rest.

The old order has passed away:
welcome them into paradise,
where there will be no sorrow, no weeping or pain,
but fullness of peace and joy
with your Son and the Holy Spirit
forever and ever. Amen.

Sunday, November 1, 2020              All Saints Day

  • 12:00 Noon Holy Mass for our beloved Departed

Monday, November 2, 2020             All Souls Day

  • 12:00 Noon Holy Mass for our beloved Departed
  • 2:00 PM Procession and Prayers for the Departed at Our Saviour PNCC Cemetery (Hamilton, NJ)

Dear Parishioners and Friends,

On Monday, November 2nd, we celebrate the feast of All Souls. On the day after All Saints, the Church reminds us of those who have passed on. This feast is an opportunity for us to pray in unity for our relatives and friends and also for those who have no one to pray for them.

As Catholics, we are obliged to attend Mass on All Saints Day, November 1.

Day after, November 2nd, All Souls Day is not a holy day in obligation, however, we are obliged to say a prayer for our departed relatives, and if possible, to visit their graveside.

Our departed family, friends and acquaintances will be remembered in the All Saints Day and the All Souls Day Masses.

I hope that you will let us include your deceased loved ones in these Masses at Our Saviour Church. Please download and use this form to list the loved ones you wish to be included in these Masses.

May God Bless You

Fr. Mariusz Mularczyk

HEALTH PRECAUTIONS AT CHURCH

  • The church will be open for Sunday Mass as long as the government authorities will limit public gatherings.
  • Please don’t sit together in groups in the pews, rather please keep yourself separated from each other.
  • Please keep distance from other parishioners when you receive the Holy Communion.
  • No handshaking, kissing and hugging as a peace sign during Mass. Instead, a wave, a peace sign ‘V’, a smile can be substituted.
  • Greeting the clergy with a handshake at the doors after Mass will no longer take place.
  • Coughing and sneezing into your elbow and arm instead of uncovered into the air around you will be appreciated by everyone and reduce the risk of infection.
  • Parishioners who are exhibiting flu-like symptoms should remain at home from Mass until they are fully recovered from their illness.
  • The clergy will continue to wash their hands before Mass as they always do. Additionally, they will use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer before and after distributing communion.
  • We will observe these precautions as long as necessary.
